A large part of being able to investigate data questions and interpret results effectively is understanding the policy context and prior research on a topic. In this part of the project, the team will research the background on the chosen topic. Be sure to address the following points as part of the paper you turn in. Topic: “What is the likelihood of a woman having at least one abortion in her lifetime?” Our hypothesis is “yes, a woman is likely to have at least one abortion in her life time.” 1. Research outside sources that explore your policy topic. 2. Include 3-5 sources. Academic articles are preferred as sources, but you may include other sources that provide context. 3. All sources should be cited using APA format. 4. Teams should try to identify any relevant knowledge gaps and address how their research may fill those gaps.
