Personal Vision Statement

A personal vision statement for your future as a social worker and as a social work leader. Why and how do you intend to be a leader in social work? Assessment of your personal leadership and supervision style, skills, and abilities. Identify your leadership and supervision styles based upon the profiles completed in class or as homework. What do you hope to build on or strengthen for the future? Concepts from class and readings as well as others from the literature that will inform your practice of leadership and supervision. Define the concepts and discuss how these concepts fit with your framework. Critique concepts as applicable. How will you in leadership roles promote values, ethics, and cultural responsiveness/humility, congruent with social work practice and what leadership principles and ethics will guide this process? As you look at your vision, what leadership roles do you intend to pursue to impact change at the constituent, community, and organizational levels? This assignment includes two components: A presentation during the final class session (20 points). You may present a PowerPoint, graphics, art, song, short play, etc.—creativity is encouraged!—that defines, explains, applies, and critiques the framework elements.
