Real-World Integration Paper

Several of the recent developments in communication technology can be classified as “real-world integrations.” With real-world integrations, the digital world becomes integrated with external reality. Developments that represent real-world integrations include the “Internet of Things,” spatial computing, augmented reality, and mixed reality. For further information on these real-world integrations, refer to Chapters 1, 9, 12, 13, and 18 of your course textbook and the article “Location Matters in a Digital World: Is Your Business Ready for Spatial Computing? (Links to an external site.)” (Dahan, 2017). The introduction of real-world integration has a significant impact on how we use the Internet and communicate with each other, similar to the impact of Internet service providers (ISPs) 20 to 25 years ago. For this assignment, you will compare and contrast the emergence of real-world integration with the ways in which the introduction of ISPs like America Online, CompuServe, and Prodigy between 1986 and 2000 made it easy for the general public to access the Internet. In your paper, Compare the introduction of real-world integration with the introduction of ISPs based on Affordances to the general public. Effects on interpersonal communication. Elements of a “code of conduct” for ethical issues as you identify them. The Real-World Integration paper Must be 1,000 to 1,200 words in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA Style (Links to an external site.) as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center (Links to an external site.). Must include a separate title page with the following: Title of paper Student’s name Course name and number Instructor’s name Date submitted Must use at least two scholarly sources in addition to the course text.
