Your third paper should be based on three different sources. Just like the other papers, you will need to select academic sources that you have found using Collier Library’s databases. Begin by briefing summarizing the article, essay, or book chapter to readers who are not in your field of study. Explain any key terms for a larger reading audience. Draw quotes from your sources that display important points or information that the authors use to make their arguments. Be sure to make transitions between your sources. After you have summarized all three source texts, write a long paragraph in which you comment on the authors’ ideas or conclusions. You will note that this paper will require a different structure than what you are accustomed to doing. Look at it as a “summaries, commentary” format. The larger point, of course, is to continue building your research paper.
