The Effects of School-Based Intervention Programs

Prepare Chapter One of your Final Proposal: Introduction.Describe, in an introduction section of approximately 1000 words, the general topic and research question about which you intend to write your research proposal paper, and why the question is significant. The paper should contain four sub-headings:TopicThe effects of school-based intervention programs on aggressive behavior ( main topic will be bullying)The topic should consist of an outline of the broad area that you would like to research. This should be broad enough to allow you to design multiple potential questions and yet focused enough to give you clear guidance as to the types of question(s) you might eventually select. The topic should be based upon a concern or problem that you are looking to overcome in the classroom, school, or workplace.Research QuestionThe research question should be a conceptual question and should be specific in nature. What do you want to understand about your topic? Your research question should relate to the topic that you have selected and to the specific concern or problem that you have outlined in section one. Try to identify multiple questions you regard as most relevant, and through a process of elimination and alteration narrow these down to one single question. Make sure that you give an outline of the selection process that resulted in your research question(s).Preliminary HypothesisState a working hypothesis, based upon the question that you have developed. This hypothesis is subject to later change but should give a clear indication of the results that you might expect to see in relation to your research question.EvidenceIt is important to support your claims with appropriate evidence. If such evidence is not available, you will not be able to justify your argument and should consider another research question. Discuss, in good detail, what kind of evidence you would need to answer the research question you have stated, and consider whether such evidence is likely to be available, and how and where you might be able to access it.possible sources for finding researchEBSCO Information Services
