Wicked Problem StatementFood insecurity is a big predominant issue in developed and developing nations, as well as in rural and urban areas around the world. Specifically, the problem of addressing urban food production is growing as cities multiply, resources get rarer, and global warming is experienced globally. According to Food and Agricultural Organization, the Pacific and Asia tend to be native to the largest (62 percent) of malnourished population, with more than 40 percent concentrated in India and China (World Health Organization, 2018). Food health is also a growing concern in developing nations. In the UK, many regional studies have been found to be small Income households suffering from food insecurity. More than one-third of those surveyed were concerned about financial constraints to buy food and a fifth frequently limited or missed meal lack of capital.Inaccessibility to food, food quality, and the ways to use food contribute to nutritional knowledge, which raises awareness of the value of different types of food in the body in staying healthy without malnutrition (Borch & Kjaernes, 2016).Globally, the people impacted by food insecurity amount to around two hundred, and measures should be taken to help minimize or even eliminate this global problem, which negatively impacts the individuals. Food scarcity is raising the ability of countries to grow their agricultural markets and economies. In addition to the food being central to human life, food security is essential to a nation because it promotes health development, reduces poverty rates, facilitates economic prosperity, and creates jobs, and many more. Cultural variation, mainly in developing nations, plays a major role in deciding what culture considers suitable for use. Thus, culture is a predictor of food poverty, for example,cultural constraints have been established that prohibit children and women from eating multiple healthy food products (Sonnino, 2016). Certain cultural patterns, like animal blood intake and milk products, were the main causes of food-related sicknesses and deficiency.To address this issue, it is important to abandon cultural-sensitive initiatives targeted at alleviating issues and strategies that foster food insecurity. For instance, cultures that place limitations on specific people in society must be prohibited to ensure healthy food intake equality. Society members’ nutrition awareness will also help reduce food scarcity within the community.
